Death Records
The death records are a record that a person died and will not give a cause of death. They do contain other important information. This information includes the name of both parents and the last spouses name, the age and occupation of the deceased and where the person died which often includes an address or street name. For those people who lived in sections or hamlets of Montalto Uffugo, only that name is on the records. These records give us the names of the previous generation.

Death Act Transcriptions on this site
Currently the majority of death act transcriptions available on this site are arranged by surname. Eventually, I will list them by year of death. Currently the only death records available by year are for the year 1880. The year is complete. I am working hard to move these records from the old site. As soon as I do you can click on the links below to view the transcriptions.
For the moment, the extractions of the death records are available in 2 locations. I am attempting to move all the extrations to a new website called "The Cosenza Exchange". The purpose of The Cosenza Exchange is to upload the state civil records from several towns of Cosenza Province. As I get more time, I will add the information to pages viewable in xhtml format to The Cosenza Exchange and link them here. This site and my research are a work in progress.
The records will be here soon.
Until then you can access them on our old pages here .
