Giuseppe Nicastro & Caterina Arturi

Giuseppe Nicastro was born about 1817 in Montalto Uffugo. Giuseppe was the son of Francesco Nicastro and Caterina Scarlato. Giuseppe died in April, 1848 at the age of 29 in the contrada of Parantoro. A copy of his death act can be viewed here.

Caterina Arturi

Caterina Arturi was born in January, 1823 in the contrada of Parantoro in Montalto Uffugo. Her father was Fedele Arturi and her mother was Anna Saullo. Caterina had several siblings including Antonio, Carmela and Vincenzo. Caterina married Giuseppe in 1839. When her husband Giuseppe Nicastro died she was only 25 years old and had at least 4 children to raise and support. In April, 1853 she married Domenico Zingone. Since I have not found her death record yet, I do not know when she died.

So far I only have 4 children for Giuseppe and Caterina but based on the birthdates I am sure there are more.

Caterina Arturi & Domenico Zingone

In April, 1853 the widowed Caterina Arturi married Domenico Zingone. Domenico was the son of Rosario Zingone and Teresa DiBiase. I have not found all their children but will list them below.
