Filippo Napolitano was the first born child of his parents Luigi and Maria Rua. Filippo was a miller and a farmer in the Parantoro section of Montalto Uffugo. Born in September, 1819, Filippo lived a very long life. His death record indicates that he was 90 years old when he died in 1907 although he was actually 88 when he died. Filippo married Caterina Nicastro in 1843. Over a period of 61 years of marriage Filippo and Caterina had 11 children together.
Caterina Nicastro was born in 1829. She was the only surviving child of Francesco Nicastro and Isabella Fullone. Both Francesco and Isabella had other children from previous marriages. Their other daughter together Maria Pasqualina Nicastro died at the age of 2. Caterina died in Montalto Uffugo in 1904. Together with Filippo she had 11 children. Those children are listed below.

Domenico Enrico was my great grandfather.He went by the name Enrico and owned his own farm in Parantoro. The family made wine and sold it in nearby towns. Enrico died at the age of 26 in 1895.
