Welcome To Montalto Uffugo.net
Welcome to the new home of Montalto Uffugo.Net. This page is dedicated to the people and the descendants of people from Montalto Uffugo.
My grandfather, Giuseppe Napolitano, was born in Montalto Uffugo in 1892. He came to Chicago and began a new life here in the United States. He spoke of the town and the place he came from fondly but his children did not pay much attention. He rarely spoke of the family he left behind. Giuseppe, still in his fifties, died in 1949. With him died the knowledge of his life and family in the place of his birth. His first 20 some years and all the family history and stories have been lost to my family. I began my journey 10 years ago to discover our heritage and perhaps return knowledge of long lost family to my family. I seek pictures and stories of a family and an era long lost to time. This site is not just about my family but all families that has roots in Montalto Uffugo. My hope is to learn more. If you would like to see your ancestors on this site, Contact Us
What you will find on this site
These pages are about the past and history. The people's history - histories of families. The history of so many families are connected to each other. I hope others will share their stories too. If your family came from Montalto Uffugo, or lives there now we would be honored to highlight your family genealogy on this site.
Please note: This is not an official site and is not connected in any way to the actual town of Montalto Uffugo. These pages have been created by the owner to help me understand where my grandfather came from and learn more about the lives of my ancestors and their family, friends and neighbors.
